Accessibility Services & Information

BeachLife Festival is a fully-accessible live music festival and we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure everyone has access to festival amenities.  We encourage you to reach out if you have any feedback or questions regarding reasonable modification of our policies or services.

We ask that you submit any accessibility-related requests by email to info@thebeachlifefestival.com at least 30 days prior to the event to allow for sufficient evaluation and preparation of requests. We will do our best to help everyone have an unforgettable experience at BeachLife!

Eligibility

It is not acceptable to fake or exaggerate a disability in order to gain access to accommodations reserved for disabled persons. Our ADA department has finite resources and needs to focus its resources on helping those who legitimately require assistance.

Accessible Viewing Areas

There will be viewing areas with accessible seating located near the main stages made strictly available to those with mobility limitations and their companion.  An ADA wristband will be required to gain access to these viewing areas (more information below)It is important to note that all viewing areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis and demand may exceed supply of seats. Companions may be asked to stand in the back of the viewing areas if seating capacity is reached. Attendees are NOT permitted to save seats. Seating is limited and we recommend that you arrive early for popular acts.

ADA Wristbands

There is not an "accessibility ticket" or "ADA ticket" that needs to be purchased in order to utilize accessibility services at BeachLife. In order to access the viewing areas with accessible seating,  you will need an ADA wristband - a free additional wristband that accompanies any current BeachLife Festival wristband. Please visit the Main Information booth, located near the festival entrance, to register for an ADA wristband.

ADA wristbands are good for the duration of the festival day(s) you are attending. DO NOT remove your wristband for the duration of the festival day(s) you are attending as a new one will not be issued due to limited stock. One (1) companion ADA wristband will be issued per guest with a disability. Additional wristbands may be issued for families with young children.

Accessible Parking

BeachLife Festival does NOT control Redondo Beach-owned parking lots.  Inside of each city-owned parking lot adjacent to the festival grounds, there are a limited amount of ADA parking spaces available.  To park in one of these lots or to be dropped off near festival entrance, please bring a copy of your valid disabled persons parking permit, placard, or plate.  Please note that it is against the law to park in an accessible parking space without the required credentials or to fraudulently use someone else’s credentials in order to gain access to accessible parking spots.  All placards will be checked for validity by the Redondo Beach Police Department upon arrival.

Accessible Restrooms

Accessible Restrooms will be available throughout the venue and will be located at all restroom banks.  Maps will be available in the Information Booth to show these locations.

Service Animal Policy

Service animals are permitted throughout the festival. However, this does not include emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals.  Pets are not allowed and will be turned away.  Due to large-scale animal service fraud, and for the protection of all festival patrons, service animals must be screened and registered at the Information booth immediately upon entry to the site. Only legitimate service animals that are individually trained and under the proper care of their owner(s) will be provided with the appropriate credentials to enter the event. Service animals must remain by the handler's side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered. If these devices interfere with the service animal's work or the individual's disability prevents using these devices, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. All service animals must be housebroken. Anyone bringing a service animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal. All animals should have legally required vaccinations and vaccination verification may need to be provided. All service animals must receive an accessibility credential in order to enter the event.

We ask that you do not leave your animal in any vehicles while you are inside the event. Vehicles without adequate and running air conditioning may become too hot and unsafe.

Wheelchair Accessibility

There are accessible pathways throughout the venue making the festival navigable for people with mobility disabilities. Guests with mobility disabilities are allowed to utilize personal forms of transportation such as wheelchairs, scooters, crutches, walkers, and canes. If you need to recharge your motorized mobility device, please visit the Main Information booth for staff assistance. Patrons should bring all cords and accessories needed to charge their devices. Chargers must use a 110-volt, 20 amp circuit.

We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.

Dietary & Medical Needs

BeachLife will have vendors that provide gluten-free, vegan, and dairy-free options. For those with dietary needs beyond what is provided by festival services, please contact us at info@thebeachlifefestival.com and include "Accessibility Needs" in the subject line. Someone will get back to you within 48 hours.

All prescription medications must be in their original manufacturer container with a name label matching the holder's government-issued ID. Please only bring a sufficient amount of medication for the duration of the event. Medications must be cleared at event entry. A fully-equipped medical site, staffed by trained personnel, will be centrally-located within the festival to manage any medical issues that may arise. Be sure to check the festival map when released for the exact location.

First Aid

There will be a centrally-located First Aid booth on festival grounds. For questions regarding location, please refer to the festival map or visit the Main Information booth for instruction.  Professional medical staff stationed at the First Aid booth can help you with your medical needs. City Fire & Medics will also be on-site in cases of emergencies.

Cashless Transactions

BeachLife Festival is cashless — our food, beverage, and merchandise vendors will NOT be accepting cash. Quicker service, safer transactions, and reduction of the risk of transmission are all factors that have contributed to this decision. BeachLife accepts US-issued and most internationally-issued magstripe or chip cards bearing a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, or UnionPay logo. BeachLife also accepts mobile wallets such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Current Covid Policy

At this time, in accordance with current CA State Guidelines and Los Angeles County health guidelines, BeachLife will NOT be requiring vaccination or COVID testing verification or masking for the next festival. However, this event shall run in accordance with applicable public health conditions as of the date of the event, which may change at any time, as determined by federal, state or local government agencies, by artists, or, by the promoter. Such requirements may include, without limitation, capacity changes, attendance procedures, entry requirements or other measures.  If a guest does not comply with any laws, mandates, health orders or event terms, conditions or rules set forth by BeachLife, then BeachLife may refuse admission to the event, or require said guest to leave the festival without a refund. The State of California strongly recommends all festival attendees get fully-vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test before entering the festival, and to wear masks if they feel they are at risk of becoming seriously ill from COVID-19
