Love Your Mother

Love Your Mother

From the very beginning, BeachLife has had sustainability and marine conservation in mind. We’ve been deliberate about building sustainable practices into the fabric of our event. From choosing your nonprofit donation when purchasing BeachLife tickets, to participating in a post event beach cleanup, we have you covered!

How irresponsible would it be to have “LA’s largest beach party,” on the coast, and leave it covered in plastic and waste? Our oceans, beaches and environment need help and we are eager to do our part. As such, we’ve drastically reduced consumer plastics onsite and are providing water stations for festival goers to stay hydrated and reduce waste. We’ve also partnered with a number of amazing organizations focused on protecting our environment and reducing single use plastics. These include: Surfrider Foundation, 5 Gyres Institute and Rob Machado Foundation as well as working with Zero Hero to lead our onsite recycling and cleanup efforts. A little bit more on each below:

Surfrider Foundation- Surfrider is a grassroots non-profit environmental organization that works to protect and preserve the world’s oceans, waves and beaches. They are also graciously leading the charge on executing a post event Beach Cleanup effort in Redondo Beach. Come say hello onsite to sign up!

5 Gyres- 5 Gyres is an amazingly nimble and impactful organization who empowers action against the global health crisis of plastic pollution through science, education and adventure. Come check out their great “plastic wave” installation onsite.

Rob Machado Foundation- Rob’s legacy and connection to our oceans speak for itself. The Foundations mission is to educate and empower young people to make sustainable choices. Check out his band, Sack Lunch, and their “Hydration stations” across the festival grounds.

Zerohero- Zerohero’s goal is to create a sustainable event from the ground up. Not only are they partnered to ensure that the products used at BeachLife are sustainable, but their interactive sorting stations make it simple for attendees to make the right choice with their waste. With Zero’s help, composting and recycling will be an integral part of the experience for years to come!

Thanks to these environmental partners, BeachLife will be creating a memorable musical experience, while also helping some great organizations further their amazing work in our community. #welivethebeachlife.
